February Astrology Forecast✨
The month of February features multiple connections of planets in Aquarius with Pluto. In astrology, Pluto has the ability to transform whatever he touches. Mercury, Mars, and then Venus will all make contact with Pluto by conjunction which can create an air of intensity and passion, as well as the initiation of major changes. Mercury connecting with Pluto can indicate gathering deeper levels of information, having profound and futuristic conversations, or making powerful shifts in regards to the intellect and thought process. Mars following to make a conjunction with Pluto could suggest a powerhouse of drive, ambition, or relentless pursuit. Mars is represented in astrology as the warrior, fighting spirit, and motivator. These two intense planets of desire coming together could create a burst of will power and determination. Just as well, these two planets can also represent sexuality which could make for an extra spicy Valentine's day. Finally, Venus will be the last to meet with Pluto, and this may come as a rebirth of relationships, resources or values. Venus in astrology can represent beauty, love, and harmony. How we express love or what we feel is important may undergo some shifts or metamorphosis.
The New Moon on the 9th of this month will be at 20 degrees in the sign of Aquarius. There are not many notable aspects to the ruler of this New Moon, but what did stand out to me was a less regarded quintile aspect between Uranus and Saturn. Quintiles are minor aspects that can represent an individual's unique talents. Just like anything else, this requires our attention, awareness, and efforts to manifest the results we may hope to achieve. Minor aspects in astrology can be presented as whispers as opposed to the louder and more obvious major aspects. The quintile between Uranus and Saturn could suggest that there may be creative or innovative ways to incorporate and carry out hard work and responsibilities.
The Sun moves into the sign of Pisces on the 18th. This is the final sign of the twelve zodiacs, ruled both by planets Jupiter and Neptune. The two fish that represent this sign, swimming in opposite directions, are often interpreted as a dualistic energy. Pisces has the ability to flow in both directions and see that more than one truth exists. Perhaps this is because Pisces is a mutable sign, and rather than being tied to one meaning or interpretation, is open to multiple possibilities. Another consideration could be that this sign is the last of the bunch, and this may indicate a connection with both the physical realm and beyond. Both of Pisces ruling planets operate with a certain boundlessness. Maybe this is why Pisces placements can see many possibilities and can also have a mystical connection with all that is. When the Sun moves into this intuitive and dreamy sign, this duality or sense of limitlessness and the deeper connection with the unknown can be highlighted and brought into awareness. Happy birthday Pisces!
Venus conjunct Mars in Aquarius on the 22nd at 6 degrees can make for a really beautiful love story, but can also reflect a strong sense of inner fulfillment. When Mars and Venus connect roughly once a year, this can unite the opposing forces of love and strife. The feminine planet Venus becomes fused with her masculine counterpart Mars, which can boost the feeling of being willing to fight for love. Aquarius is an eccentric sign as it is ruled by the oddball planet Uranus, and this gives the sign a very peculiar distinction. This cycle may bring about completely unexpected or unusual ways of expressing desires to relate or it could bring unique and otherwise unlikely alliances together.
This month’s Full Moon will be in the sign Virgo on the 24th at 5 degrees. Mercury, the ruler of this lunation, will be in conjunction with the Sun at this time. This can further highlight the importance of Virgo and Mercurial energies which revolve around practicalities, details, and minutia. However, Mercury will be in the sign of Pisces, and while journeying through this sign, Mercury may be more focused on the metaphysical or transcending reality through the imagination. As always, Full Moon cycles can indicate a culmination period surrounding the themes of the sign involved. Through this cycle, we may be trying to wrap our minds around what we believe to be real or true and what is.
Mercury moves into Pisces on the 23rd and later on the 28th, both the Sun and Mercury will make a conjunction to Saturn at 09 degrees of Pisces. Saturn's influence here could stabilize and bring form to the faith that has allowed for perseverance and dedication to something once thought to be impossible. Saturn in the sign of Pisces can blur the usual sense of limitations and boundaries. When the Sun and Mercury make this connection, it’s possible to feel that all the hard work is finally starting to show some results. The Sun will shine on Saturn, bringing its warmth and vitality, while reinforcing Saturn. Mercury will travel to Saturn and may exchange information or news that could bring clarity or bring hope with substance.
"Alice laughed. 'There's no use trying,' she said. 'One can't believe impossible things. 'I daresay you haven't had much practice,' said the Queen. 'When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." -Lewis Carroll
